History & Significance

When the foster mother of Lord Krishna got shocked to saw the entire universe in the small mouth of Krishna when he swallowed mud and forced Kanha ji to open his mouth to check any mud particles.

Anxiously MaaYadhodha visited a saint on the bank of the Yamuna who was none other than Lord Shiva who was meditating to view the beautiful image of Lord Krishna. Holy saint consoled Yashodha that her son is not an ordinary child, he is a soul of God. Listening to this saint liberated Yashodha from all the worries and anxieties about Kanha ji. This place is known as Chintaharan Mahadev.

It is believed that one who visits this temple and prays gets freedom from all the is worries.
